FU believes that the note is related to the answer of the lottery; hence, he bets all his savings on it, so that he can resign from Tung Mud Yuen. He then puts the lottery ticket in a biscuit box; however, KATE gives away the biscuit to a beggar. FU thinks that he loses a chance and blames KATE for her carelessness.
